I have been writing blogs for almost all of my cycling and other travel adventures and I have parked most of my recent writing on this site. Unfortunately, I have not consolidated these blogs so my writing is all over the place.

This blog is about our 2018 cycling trip. I have been doing cycling vacations with Mike Reagan (Syracuse) since 2013 and they are much more my idea of a vacation than sitting on a beach.

In 2013, Mike and I went to Sicily. We were joined by Marty Canavan and Vince Giardina (both from Syracuse). Here's the link to the Sicily blog: https://jeffreycchin.wordpress.com/category/cycling-in-sicily/

In 2014, I didn't go on a trip but I bought a Moots.

In 2015, Mike and I went to France to see and ride some of the routes of the Tour de France. Walter Putter (Syracuse) joined us on this trip. (I'll add the link to the France blog when I can find it.)

In 2017, Mike and I went to Croatia and we were joined again by Walter and also by Stu Koman (Winchester, MA and my roommate from Trinity). For 2018, we decided to go to Portugal. It is a new trip in the VBT portfolio (https://www.vbt.com/tours/biking-portugal/) and it filled up fast. While I put it out to all our former traveling buddies, we ended up with the same four as our trip to Croatia: Mike, Walter, Stu and me.

Here is a picture of us plus Chris Arnold and Vince when Stu came to visit us in September 2017. Stu had ridden with all of us before except for Vince, either on a VBT trip or the PMC or both. As a "welcome to Central New York" ride, we took him to Palmer Road, the highest point in the county.

Come back to the blog during our trip! We travel on Saturday, May 26 and we return June 6.

I will write entries every day but I may have to finish them later if I don't have time to upload the pictures of the day.
